Smithsonian Butterfly Pavilion The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History’s spectacular Butterfly Pavilion in Washington, D.C., was in peril – the butterflies were dying. IQAir received an emergency call from the Smithsonian explaining the dire situation. Upon learning that the Butterfly Pavilion recently installed new carpeting, IQAir suspected the carpet was the culprit. The carpet in question was likely giving off odors, chemicals and gases. IQAir rushed air filters by overnight air freight. IQAir received a call from the museum the next morning and was told that one filter was set up, and they already noticed a difference. Butterflies that were sitting lethargically were now airborne again. Smithsonian set up the other two filters that day, and IQAir received another call the next morning saying the problem was solved.
